Thanks Ted, I'm glad you like it.

I didn't want to explain every step I take in detail, so I picked one area...this time it was the leather jacket (it reminds me of one I used to have...grubby, distressed but warm...plus it made you feel great).

I did research on the colour of certain parts...but in the end I chose what I thought looked good.

I was suprised by how clean the Life Preserver was, but found out that these were maintained to a high level, and replaced regularly. When you fly over the English Channel you need to know that if you have to ditch the plane the Life Preserver will work.

Came across some b&w photos which look quite interesting.

Seems like this pilot has his own Spitfire...

Nice one...

Thanks Mike.

No I can't get this finished for the show, need another week. Still have a lot to do, like air mask highlights and base.

So close...but there's always next year. [wink]

The backdrop is the artwork on Airfix Refuelling Diorama box.

Had one of those crazy ideas you have when your just about to go to sleep, I always write them down.

No update today..I went to IPMS Ireland Show..held just down the road from me.

Saw one figure you might find interesting Mike..it took my breath away.
Although no scale was shown, I would say it's 54mm.

Incredible.
