I have started to catalog my patterned trim films and located them on Pintrest for others.
Most are Microscale brand (TF index) and the other few are Modelers of Japan (D index)
All were cataloged from a full sheet complete with order number/part number and a standard US postage stamp for scale reference.
The files are located at this link:
I am hoping this will cut down on the guessing what certain films look like when having to order through the mail. It seems manufacturer's haven't provided much help including a decent scale reference to their patterns in their advertising.
There were only a few to worry about but now the market has grown for them and there's many available to choose from. Hard to choose if you have never seen their film personally in order to choose your order properly.
I've also have found it handy pasting them into my scanned instruction sheets as I plan a build.
There are many more brands and types out there, let's see the catalog grow.
A full set of Scale Motorsports films would be nice to have to look at with scale reference.
Scan what you have if you can if you see I don't have it along with a postage stamp and post the raw scan. I'll edit it and put it with mine.
A side note if you are curious about why I used a stamp, it is just easier for me to picture the size of it without thinking inches or millimeters when looking at a kit part. A scan of a 6" metric ruler is also posted for reference to the stamps.
The normal USPS stamp, ie., the "Forever Stamp" and alot of the older smaller denomination stamps are basically 7/8" x 1", vertical.
Hoping this helps those shopping or building.
