Hi everyone, I didn't get as much bench time this weekend as I hoped but I did manage to get the stripes done.  It took me another 3 hours to finish all the stripes but they're done, I still have the identification markings and various other decals to put on but the stripes are done.  I left the 4 vertical tail decals for the end and they turned out ok.

Not sure if anyone noticed but if you look at the vertical tail fin in the 3rd to last photo, you'll see a female silhouette cleverly hidden in the tiger stripes.

Thanks for looking,

Almost done with the decals, I only have 2 left but they can be tricky so I decided not to rush and get them on last night.  After those are done I'll apply a coat or two of SOL and see how the decals settle down.

Here's how she looks now........

Thanks,

Hopefully it works now, I created folders in photobucket in an attempt to organize things a little bit.  That may have been what messed it up.

Sorry,

Decals are looking great! Unfortunately it still seems like there are a lot of previous pictures missing :-/. You maybe have to "unclean" Photobucket?

Ok, I've put all the pictures back into the original folder, hopefully they all are visible.  If not I'll have to re-upload all the pics from both builds.

If someone has a minute to check both of my threads that all pics a visible, that would be very helpful.

Thanks

I'm sitting at my bench looking at the cf-18 and trying to decide if this plane needs a panel line wash or not. My first thought is yes, it will make this plane pop and bring it to life. Then I think maybe just put on a flat coat and call it a day. what do you guys think? This wasn't a show bird but more of a squadron centre piece that still flew non wartime missions in Europe.

Other than that, I've been spending my time applying coats of micro Sol carefully and making sure the extensive decals set down in all the panel lines.
