Also made a start on the eye, found a corrugated roof screw cap that should do for the lens:

A bit of trimming and looks pretty good:

Added a cut out in the lid to take the sun visor for his eye:

Coloured the inner lens black and attached to the back plate:

Decided to add an LED, a bit too bright, will add a couple of resistors to lower the voltage when I do the circuit board:

Added an internal bracket to hold the eye / speech panel in place, a quick test fit here too:

Have ordered some paints from Amazon (as I'm not a painter) and should be here this week.....then you'll see me make an ass of myself attempting to paint something....lol

[confused][wink] already asked Pete for his advice on what to get, no doubt I'll be giving him a call when I inevitably cock something up [rofl]

Been looking for the "Ctrl + Z" (undo) button on my air brush........I can't find one!
oh heck....it's not like Photoshop then? lol?
I'm screwed....[frown]....Best add Pete's number to my frequent callers list [wink][biggrin]

I've seen you paint before, Jas. You're not that bad. You need to practice and "1up" your confidence level. Learn to use your mistakes somehow and "roll with it". You can certainly do this.

As far as the build is going, well as usual, I'm impressed.... and inspired. Too bad I've got everything packed away for the time being lol.

Thanks chaps, a little progress today, panelled the left hand side and added the arm recesses:

The back panel and lid to do next then, I'll make a start on the wheel which will be a little tricky. I could cheat and buy an RC plane foam wheel.......but where's the fun in that? Lol
