Thanks lads, glad to be with you.

Of course you know 1/72 scale is my prefered scale.....Although I'm getting on in years, I still have a steady hand, and good eye sight.

I want to see some great models lads.

Good luck to you all.

For my first update I've made a start on the cockpit and the intakes.

I decided to keep the instrument panel decals on their backing sheet. Due to the scale and size of the canopy very little is going to be seen.
The one thing I need to do,though, is do a good paint job on the pilot.

Thanks for looking.

Hey, almost finished already ;-). Don't forget to put in some weight in the nose. Or will it be an inflight display?

Not using any weight in the nose, Fabian, as I'm displaying this as if it's just taking off from the deck.
The weight will work against me.

Great plane and a great start Nigel, I must say I do like the idea you have of showing it taking off from the deck too

Thanks.

You know how you tend to go those few extra yards, as it is for the GB, well I've been busy trying an idea to have the intake fan glowing red, and the exhaust doing the same thing.

I can't believe it, but I've managed to do it...without leds, batteries and wiring. .. and it works.
Tomorrow I will get the engine installed, and the fuselages joined and then I will reveal all.
