Thank you all for following the build.

These GB's have a hidden pressure that can break a modeller...just keep going lads.

...but above all enjoy the experience...after all it's a wonderful hobby, and you don't need to be so serious!

Good luck to you all.

YEWAH BABEEEY !!!! [biggrin]

this is just as I had imagined it when I first suggested the idea of a take off display way back
right at the beginning of this thread and it looks great Nigel, really nice job well done [smile]

Although, I shall take the liberty of speaking for everyone else here who has been
following what I think is the most exciting build thus far, but ..........

...... we all want to look up her hot tail pipe [biggrin]
How could we not [biggrin]

Elegantly displayed and a very strong contender for the most original display [thumb] Got my vote [smile]

Your idea of the take-off was brilliant Paul...you really pushed me there...I even think I got the angle of take off correct-ish. But the tail pipe...it needed that diorama to show it off.
Thank you.

No, no, no Nigel, thank you for doing such a nice job of it all
and being open minded enough to take me up on my suggestion [smile]

The angle relative to the deck looks a bout right to me too, anywhere
inbetween 15 and 20 degrees is about right, delta plan forms can take
a higher angle of attack which is why they were popular on jets as a
higher angle of attack can facilitate a lower air speed without stalling etc. etc.

The raised angle of the deck exaggerates the angle of the plane though
and if I could change one thing it would be to make the deck portion
parallel to the wood plinth but all things considered overall it looks great,
great poise and great drama, the light really is the icing on this [smile] [thumb]

you mean the Mona Lisa had two vanishing points [wink]
but then he did like farking with his audience [biggrin]

my guess is 12 degrees above parallel I reckon, if you could measure it
so you can let me know wrong I am that would be great haha [smile]
you do have a protractor don't you ? [wink]

I meant the deck to base angle was 12 degrees [smile]
The plane to deck angle I reckon might be about 17 degrees...
for a combined angle of plane to base of 29 degrees [biggrin]

I suspect any moment now I will be deservedly called a "fecetious" smart arse [biggrin]
Now I am really curious to know the angles, go on, find that protractor haha [biggrin]
