Paul, you are right about the deck not being parallel to the base. I can't see things in 3D (seriously) so I will put it down to the Aircraft Carrier listing in rough seas. Can't stop a war due to the weather. ..Desert Storm is a good example...[wink]

haha, well I guess the weather is always the same for those fighting in the same bit of sky [smile]
anyhow the angle of the deck is a very minor quibble, you captured the drama nicely so it's all good [smile]

Thanks Ted..I'm just glad to have done this one.

I'm not even worried if this doesn't win anything...it's all about the taking part..and now I have experienced that hidden pressure you get when involved in a GB I can sit back and relax and move on to doing some armour and painting figures.

Just looking at some of the other builds I think Bobby is going to have a difficult time judging this one, and now I can get an A4 patch to add on my Genessis top.

Thanks Ted

Seriously Nigel, this is looking freaking awesome mate. Probably the most dynamic carrier display I've ever seen - very cool! Painting, decals and as the cherry on top the light... Top notch. Have fun watching us chasing you ;-)

Very kind words..thank you Fabian.

I'm very pleased with how the light has worked in the tail and that the weight is just right to achieve the angle of take off. Don't think this would be possible with the 1:48 scale version..the pinning would be so difficult with the weight ratio.

Very nice done!

Love the idea of showing the plane in an actionscene.

I will try to display my models in that kind of way in the future, it makes it much more interesting to look at.

Thanks Joakim.

Easier to display, as you get to see the jet from all angles (with no mirrors)

Plus I do like the unusual and seeing them in action poses [wink]

Great work Nigel, in 1:72 too, it's easy to forget just how tricky those itty bitty pieces can be. lol
And the display is awesome, I'm with Neil, STFU it looks great. lol

Great job! [smile]

Okay it looks like I need to catch up around here. lol

It was a European Swallow. Two of them. With a string attached between both. ':/

Nigel, what can I say about this gem you've created? The LED in the tailpipe is spectacular and reminds me of Pete's F-4! But in 1-freakin'-72 scale! You have created motion in still life and this is the kind of thing that makes people take notice!

Brilliant, mate! [biggrin]
