Hi guys sorry it's a little late and i already made a start. Hope you enjoy.

So far every thing is OOB apart from the HT leads that i made myself from fishing line. very kindly donated by a friend at work. He does a lot of carp fishing and just happened to have some black line that was just the right thickness. The last picture is for an idea of scale.

Thank you mike. There is still a bit of work to do on the rear. Anti-roll bars, Exhaust pipes, a bit more wiring added. Also i think i will take some of the shine from the tread pattern. seems all wheels come with an un-natural gloss finish. There are lots of different choices to be made with the kit during the build. I have chosen the british GP And for that it has the vented discs not the solid ones. Also there is a big anti-roll bar that goes across the back that was used in some GP but not others.
Thanks for watching.

Looking good Simon the Ebbro kits are very good, built the Lotus 49 and 72, they are every bit as good any Tamiya kit, only word of caution is beware of the front suspension it is very fragile I replace a lot of the 49's suspension with stainless steel wire and brass tube.
Look forward to seeing more soon.
Regards
Gary

Thank you Gary. Glad you like it so far. Thanks also for the heads up about the front suspension. The rear was a bit of a job. The chrome covering on the parts was a bit thick in places so i had to remove it on the parts that join together.

This is looking great Simon, it looks like a really nice kit too, I'm not familiar with Ebbro, are they a new manufacturer ?
I love these old racing cars, they have so much more character than the modern ones, and the design means that loads of that lovely detail, will be visible after it completed too

Thank you Pete.
To be honest i don't know how old the company is From what i can see they have only made about a dozen kits that are all classic cars. Mostly F1.
They also do a range of diecast models.
A big help with building the kit is a guy i work with that used to work on these cars. He has kindly supplied me with vast amounts of reference photos.

Oh crap. That will teach me for not looking at the instructions ten times and then once more to make sure. couldn't work out why she didn't sit right. Then i noticed i had put the top suspension arms on upside down. A lot of jiggery pockery and i think i has rectified the situation.

Great looking model Si, I remember having a JPS model as a kid.
There's something about the shape of these old cars that the new ones haven't got.

Thank you Jas
I have my eye on one or two other kit from Ebbro They are lovely models to build.
Had my hands full a bit the last two weeks. Came home from work last Sunday to find this little beauty.

I would like you all to meet Roxy She is now 9 weeks old. at 3 weeks some low life scum left her to die in a box at the site of the road. She was at a rescue home for a while and knowing how much i missed my other dog that died last year my wife got me her.
Back to modeling soon. In the mean time some great builds going on in every forum. Great work gents.keep it up.
