nice start Bob, especially the part about using the white glues instead of CA. looks so much easier in the long run? well done as always! anxious to see the detail on the engine.

Just bought this kit from Creative Models for a whopping bargain price of £15.59 !!!

and what a fantastic kit it is, never bought a kit as good, one to savour but I have lots to learn, I do not want to screw this kit up through ham fistedness [biggrin]

This thread seems worthwhile subscribing to [smile]

congrats on getting that kit. you will do fine.take your time, use the info on the site and if you have questions, put them out and we will do our best to help. if we miss the post, send a private message to someone. best wishes and thanks for joining the forum. I subscribed and learned so much from watching the step-by-step builds. they go from opening the box to the final pictures and include everything. the dedicated videos on various topics also pack a lot of info. There is no way that I could have caught up from the 40+ years since I had touched a model kit if I did not have the site for learning.

episode 2 gets into the engine compartment and engine. proper colors and techniques to represent rust and used metal effectively. I think that the metalizer paints and pigments are some of the most 'fun' in a build/finish and Bob creates the tones perfectly. thanks Bob! well done.

Episode 4 . detail tips on fitting the fuselage panels and cowling around the engine. trimming engine detail down and the fine points of cutting the cowl apart so that everything fits perfectly. Paint colors and some special masking technique on the landing gear wheel wells finishes another great episode on this rapid build.
