OK some things I've learnt during this build

PRO's

1/ I can actually hand brush acurately some of these miniture parts

2/ I can bend and affix 2mm x 2mm PE

Cons

1/ using an optivisor gives me a head ache

2/ some of the small parts can be nearly impossible to hold without pings

3/ I use to enjoy modeling and I don't enjoy this build

4/ I make 1:48 but prefer 1:32 for a reason...........my eye sight isn't what it was and the parts are are lot easier to handle.

For the sake of my sanity and enjoyment of making models, I'm out of this build and have crushed both the Me110 and Liberator.

I have a Tamiya Mercedes AMG GT3 coming and I'm hoping an easy build with new painting techniques will repair the damage this build has done to my hobby of building models. When building 1:72 was so stressful it spoilt my modeling enjoyment...........it ceased to be a hobby

Good luck to everyone with their builds and I'll still be following and waffling on this thread

Mate, I'm really sorry to hear that.  I don't know what to suggest, but naturally you must do whatever you think is right.  Hope the Merc restores your love of building.

I ordered a A2 cutting station from PM, maybe I should have ordered a few weeks ago

So it finaly hapened... I tipped my bottle of Tamiya extra thin over also. Lucky enough it ended on the floor but almost all of the glue was spilled out. I sweped it off directly with paper sponge towels. But I sweared it would be the first and last time this hapened. So this is my solution :  P1030718.jpg Next time however, I will try to make it possible to remove the bottles when they are empty to replace with a new one. [biggrin][tongue]

it is awful to spill ANY product but glue---HELP! I got a mat I had to turn over cause it has a huge glue spot on it. Well, the build progress is great!
