Well this marks a new point in my young modeling career. My very first entry into a group build comp. It was so much fun following the progress of everyone, and I do appreciate all the help along the way. I look forward to joining the next comp.

Anyhow, here's the Hellcat I entered into this comp. I did have a few issues along the way, but nothing too concerning to report. So this Hellcat is my 11th kit competed since returning back to the hobby and I remember back when I bought my first kit hearing somewhere on You Tube that it takes 12 kits to really get your techniques and skills understood....not mastered of course....just understanding your skill set I suppose. I have a ton of work to get my skills better, but I feel I really do understand my strength and weaknesses after 11 kits in the book.

Here's the pics, hope you enjoy and feel free to report any comments, questions or concerns. Cheers~

nice work and I appreciate that you did your best to paint up the modern equipment and ground crew to look as accurate as possible and I like the base too. nice job my friend.

Scott,

Well done! excellent work all round. Question: is the decking a paper printout? or styrene? looks great. the tie downs are nice. great paint and weathering. congrats on finishing the GB.

Thank you for the positive feedback. The diorama is styrene and painted.

Yeah, I was trying to keep it as accurate as possible but I had zero luck finding a bomber loader and deck crew of the period. Thank you for the positive reply.
