good morning

looking to do my first diorama of an A-10 at night with ground crew doing night ops and need to add lights any suggestions

Sorry you have not received a reply here! The people that do a LOT of kit lighting currently are the sci-fi guys. So if you google "lighting the refit Enterprise" or something similar, you should see the entire process from beginning to end.

I googled "Lighting a Millennium Falcon scale model" and pages of videos popped up such as the one I've provided a link to below:

Have a look at these guys.

They not only do lighting, instruments, nav-lights and so on, but sound boards as well.  You can have the sound of an Allison V12 coughing and barking as it fires up, synchronised to a small motor attached to the propeller, so it moves in unison to the sound, or you can have a jet turbine whining and spinning up from start to reheat.

Best place for lighting the scale model train suppliers.

Lots of little LEDs & switches. Bettery sets. Some will make up a set of what ever you want.
Very versatile.

You are right. Some manufacturers are beginning to offer kits with the lighting in the box. You assemble the lighting system using instructions in the kit plan.
