That is some really nice paint work! what brand of AB do you use? I also just now noticed the stand you are using. Is that a commercial stand or did you make that. very nice!

beautiful, simply fantastically beautiful work with the preshade, masking, and paint. The panels and detail each have a life of their own! thank you for so much for the nice pictures and the solid step by step nature of your WIP thread here. I noticed that on the belly you painted some panels in color before the overcoat. I have not seen that technique before but it makes perfect sense in order to add extra detail to the pre-shade technique. Did I get that right?

Yes exactly. I use this pre shading color if the final layer is made of light colors. You must be careful when spraying, to avoid discoloration of preshading. Wait after each layer of color is sprayed, to evaporate thinner. In the photos it's not so visible, but in reality these panels are differ from each other.

actually, I can see the modulations from panel to panel and its really bringing out an aspect of metal panels that we talk about but don't always demonstrate in models--each panel can weather/wear differently from different factors where an aircraft operates, is maintained, has panels replaced, etc. very nice work!
