As an extra entry this will only be an OTB build. No after market items.

Box and contents :

Looking forward to doing this kit, no fuss & very few parts. In fact there is no decal instruction leaflet, just the box art.

It does look like a nicely detailed kit Nigel, this group build seems to be a great success, lots of builds going on and nice to see a few people doing multiple builds too
One question springs to mind though, is there a 1/72 scale miss Mop available ? Wait scratch that, miss mop 1/48 will claw her eyes out lol

Lol. It's going to be quite a job just to paint the 1/48 Pete.

Long time since I did a 1/72.

Seats all painted...

Thanks Ted,

Well that's me done for the night. Cockpit completed, more than I thought I would be able to get done.

Loads of errors.

Back seat seems too far forward. Control consoles both seems too far from seats.
Not going to correct them as I said this is definately an out of the box construction, as per instruction manual. It's a very cheap model, but so far that means nothing. The detail is better than I've seen on some of the more expensive kits, Revell being one example.

Think I've stumbled on a little "pocket money" gem. [smile]

I was right with the the position of the seats in the cockpit. Decided to remove the consoles and glue them to the fuselage then remove seat, glue in cabin and replace seats.

Got rid of the joysticks as they were way too big.

fit is good so far...

tried the canopies. These are as they came in the box, I have not cleaned them at all, looks like I won't need to. They are crystal clear.

Cockpit looks great painted and nice job on the corrections and they are the clearest canopies I have seen out of the box ! It's a little gem in the making Nigel

coming along so nice! glad that you picked up this kit--fun to watch. the camo should make it a standout as does the cockpit--well done!

Thanks Ted.

I didn't know what to expect when I got this kit. I was in the big toy store and I wanted to get a 1/72 Phantom. They only had 2, one was by Accurate Models and cost €40, the other was this one, which cost me €10.

I said to myself this is going to be whatever is in the box. Absolutely no resin, PE and the like. Okay the cockpit is a shambles and needed reorganisation, the intakes don't extend into the body of the fuselage, but the canopies came as a shock. They are so good they actually magnify the interior detail, you can just about make that out on the photograph.

The instruction manual is just basically a leaflet, but it's a naive fun kit. These modern 1/72 kits are impressive.

totally agree! the 1/72 detail is very nice and that canopy is about the best OOB that I have seen. go figure? you are getting good bang for the buck IMHO. your paint and finish on the cockpit brought out the best possible. really good work.
