Looking excellent so far Adam. I'd have a go with plastic card for those gaps. Those are pretty serious lol.

Adam you have done such a good job of the cockpit and engine that they are good enough by a mile to be stand alone models in their own right.  Excellent work.

I agree with Mike. that blue is outstanding. the final finish should be really really good!

Well here she is just before decals. Since the kit comes with french and thai decals i decided to purchase the Montex mask kit with american markings and figured i would have a crack with painting the main markings. So far I'm pretty happy with the outcome. Not perfect but good enough for my first crack at it. Since the decals are in english i will apply the rest such as "no step' and other such decals. After seeing all these amazing shots of it restored and how the paint looks on it so far i will be doing minimal weathering on the exterior.

OMG that is absolutely fantastic. I don't blame you for considering leaving the weathering off. I'd like to see more of that direction. All airplanes were new at one time.
