Ohh look! it's working already! Thanks Ted. And yeah I've just broken out my Tester enamels for a bit of a run, I think I'm going cross-eyed but all good. Getting there. Will have some results up later today hopefully. [smile]
Thanks again for your help.

So you're joining us then? Cool!  [smile]

Be carefull with the enamels. You need to thin them out pretty good for miniature work. If the paint is too thick it can fill in your tiny details or look thick and chalky. [smile]
I need to start my thread. I got some skin tones on the Dwarf and a couple of different washes on him so far. Its time for pictures!

Yeah Mike I was looking at some figures online this morning. The local shop has a couple of the usual WWII sets there, but I'd like the German Winter set by Tamiya, so I might have to wait before I jump in here because it will take me a bit of time to get that in. All good. I'll follow anyway in the meantime. I'll also have to suss out whether to paint acrylic or enamels (or both?) from your builds here, enamels are hard for me to get here so I'll probably go with acrylics anyway. Ok, off to the build threads!! [smile]

I have one figure from the Tamiya German winter set. Good figures an decent molding. That's a good set to start out on. [smile]

Deadline extended to January 1st 2015.

Since the Holliday's are apon us I'm thinking we need an extension. That should also allow for some of us to get an extra figure across finish line should anyone wish to.

The hard part of all of this will be compiling all the info that has already been produced in the current builds and adding everything yet to come. So at least we will all have a thread where everything is accessible at once instead of sifting through all of the threads individually.

Happy holidays Gents! May peace abound in every home. [smile]

I was just given the terminology for figure painting - Micro Limbnistics. I find this very interesting  [smile]

What are your thoughts?

I'm thinking miniature figure painting is surprisingly easier to say. [thumb]

Are you talking about Ted's build, Graham? I think he looks like Darkness from Legend.

Since only Simon D and myself have posted any figures across the finish line I suppose I will have to extend the deadline to February 1st so the rest of you can get your entries in. I think that Simon wouldn't mind getting all three places, lol, but there is some spectacular work going on here and I'd really like to see more finished entries guys.

C'mon guys! Get your buts in gear! LOL!!

Yes it would Pete.  [smile]  So far, Simon is competing with himself and in serious contention for first, second, and third place lol.

I want to get back to the bench with something I can finish reasonably quickly when I finish the mancave, so I think I will have a go at another figure, I'm not sure what one yet but I'll decide when I get everything set up down there

Also Mike I've found a box with some really old citadel minis in, they are all metal and I i have no recollection of how I came by them, I will take some pics tomorrow
