Hello Gents. Well two weeks and I've cut my way out of the jungle into a Genessis Models GB final reveal.
And what a great time I had. I've labelled this my "mojo" build so it was built with a "no getting bogged down with detail" mode in mind. Which does affect the final result as far as quality of build goes, but it's far outweighed by the stress-free environment it was built in.
Straight out of the box. In fact I didn't need to order anything in for this build. I had everything on the shelf. So here we go.

I used the Beemer as my carrier deck, it'd actually be a better anchor at the minute!

Thanks again for those that followed the WIP. Short, sharp and shiny. lol
Good luck everybody. [smile]

Thank you Wim, and thanks for your comments and support throughout.
I have been following your build but have been under the pump catching up with everyone's builds and getting time in the cave.
Good luck with the Devastator mate, it's coming along nicely. [smile]

Short, sharp and shiny indeed Simon :-). Very nice build, it really shows that you had fun with it and clearly proofs that you got your mojo back. The amount of details and weapons is very impressive, sure for out of the box. Very well done!

fabulous build and finish. I keep telling myself that I need to just build out of the box and only add items I have on hand. fantastic work! great weathering and details!

Thanks everyone. [smile] yeah Ted I still love getting the AM stuff but this was just a delight from start to finish so didn't really need to anyway. I also have a bunch of spare weapons left over which is great for those "non-weapon" kits (Hasa). So it's the gift that keeps on giving. Lol

That didn't take you too long to build and finish.

Looks like someone has been honing his skills with a laser. [wink]

You've got a top notch build here, mate. You have come a very long way in a very short time. I'm proud of you my friend. [biggrin]

Btw guys I didn't mention it in the WIP but I didn't have the Tamiya gloss blue for the tail and nose as per instructions. I did, however, have Vallego flat blue and Tamiya clear blue. One on top of the other did the job nicely. [smile]

What a great model...and out of the box...very impressive.
I love that touch of blue on the nose and the weathering is spot on. This is a great entry for the GB...glad I'm not the judge on this one.

Well done.

Thank you very much Seth and Nigel. They are very kind words indeed.
As I have mentioned, this is a great kit so I feel a bit of a cheat knocking it together and taking the credit. But that's why we enter the GB. To share our experience. Thanks fellas.[smile]
