Good luck with the Devastator mate, it's coming along nicely. [smile]

No worries, I actually have the same problem. I only post very erratically myself due to time constraints.

Regarding the Devastor, thanks, appreciated. Still a few hurdles to tackle though ... decalling on anything but a flat surface and a vacuform canopy (something I never ever worked with) ... and then some [tongue]

Wim.

I'll keep watching. I've never used a vacuform canopy either. Good luck with it. [smile]

Nice Job Simon it appears though you had a mishap with one of your jet intake warning decal's but other than that very beautiful work my friend.

Thanks Joe, yeah I had a mishap with more than that. Lol the decals are terrible, very fragile and brittle. We got there in the end but not without some grief. [smile]

Blimey Simon, no dust settling on this build was there lol !

Your skills have come such a long way since you first posted on the forum, this one shows so much technique, and you can't tell from this build that you were ever away from your bench at all mate.

The Sluf is one of my favourite Naval planes and to me just looks so cool in grey over white. The scheme is beautiful and the weathering looks right on the money too as I don't think back then that these planes got as grubby as they did in later years , it looks used but well maintained (just like the real ones)

I think you made the right call going out of the box with this to get your eye back in and it looks like your mojo is in good order to tackle the big cat now buddy.

Really nice build Simon

And yeah mate, the mojo and the momentum has carried on. Go have a look at the F-14 updates. I'm all over it like...well you know. Lol
Good to see you here, sticking around for a while? [smile]

Kitchen is going slowly mate but it's getting there, I had to take it all back to brick and now am battening the walls ready for plasterboard, it shouldn't be too bad once I get that bit done and I'm hoping to get it finished by Xmas.

Already been to the tomcat thread lol, it's coming together really well. Unfortunately I won't be getting back to mine until some time in the new year but I'm really missing working on it

I'll definitly stick my head in a bit more mate

Oh crap! Do you have enough space for cabling along the battens (more power points naturally lol)? Or do you have to chase them down the walls? Feel your pain mate that's a big job.

And yeah I saw, haha, you can tell I was getting lonely down there.

Yes mate I'm usng 2 x 1 timber and 12.5mm plasterboard so plenty of room for wires and I'm using dry lining boxes so no need to chase anything.
I'm not having fun with it lol, I cant wait til Its over

Yea sometimes Hobby Boss never seems to have good luck with any of their decals.
