I think I'm calling this done :-). Probably the last weekend update on the Phantom: I finally finished the drop tanks. Maybe the weathering on these guys is a little over the top... I tried the salt technique. It weird to cover the model in salt but it's very easy to remove the salt with water. Definitely something to give an other try in a future build.

Also glued the last PE-parts on the canopy...

All pieces in place, yey!!!

Still unsure about presenting this on a base but painted the figures anyhow. Not to bad but lots of room for improvement... they look a little chubby ;-)

I ordered a carrier base from Uschi van der Rosten. I will decide on the diorama when it's getting delivered... hope before the deadline!

Thanks again for the support guys :-)

Fabian,
all looks really great. I have not glued any PE to a canopy yet---scares me to think about glue going on a nice clear piece of plastic!! Did you use PVA I presume? the figures look great. I guess they look chubby due to the heavy coats? or maybe a bit of barrel distortion from the camera lens at close range? I really like the weathering you have done on the Phantom.

Thank you Ted, glad you like it! I like the used look of here myself. Weathering is still one big guess for me. It difficult to foresee how much of it will show at the end. I guess more practice will help, so that's a good thing :-).
And yes, I used PVA glue to put the PE in place. Some parts came loos a little, fixed that with a tiny amount of superglue... holding my breath, hehe.
