Okay, I think I have everything sanded down enough to fit al those nicely detailed resin into the fuselage. Before and after (some little sanding, lol)

It is a very tight fit. I think you should stop sanding when you can see through the part, right?

There is more to do before closing op the fuselage... the intakes... Ta ta taaa! Remember the Phantom GB, brrrr. So bring it on resin intakes!!! The the moulded line fits very nice into the kit part...

Can you spot the little gap :-/

Just sanded down the lip on the fuselage to be able to push the intake further back... looks fine to me :-)

That is WAFER thin !

I hope everything fits ok now mate as by the looks of things there isn't anymore that can be sanded off.

The fit on those intakes doesn't look too bad and even though there will be a little bit of making good on the outsides it's got to be better than having to get inside them to make them seamless

Good luck getting that fuselage closed around that pit. I tried using the Aires set on my F-4D...without the resin gear bay...and with the bottom of the tub and the top of the bay paper thin I was still a good 5 mm from closing. [frown]

It's amazing how quick the stash is growing, lol. More than once I told myself to stop buying kits... it's so hard to resist ;-)

Finally succeeded to close up the cockpit - YEY!!! This was a really slow process with a lot of dry fitting and scraping the material very VERY thin. Glad this is done :-)

I used the kit's PE to cover up the seam line between the fuselage and the resin pit.

Also filled up some gaps around the IP with styrene board and Vallejo putty. Starting to look nice again.

The resin nose wheel well is a bit shorter than the kit one. Used styrene card to fill the gap.

Thanks for checking in :-)

Also did some work on the wings. This is going to build into quite a big plan and a have very little space available for my finished models... Feels kinda like a aircraft carrier, lol. To save a little bit of space and because I like the look of it I bought this :-)

This is actually for the Hasegawa kit, but how far of can it be... Only one way to find out :-)

More cutting into nice styrene!

I was lucky! Only a little sanding along the front part was needed to join the to Hadegawa and Academy.
Not so much to see but it's going to look something like this:
