Hi all decided to start my 1/6 bike dio now I've finished the Bentley. you cant buy 1/6 figures (least not that I can find and if I did I bet they are expensive) so decided to have a go at making my own.

Hi all as I've been informed GI Joe, Barbie, Ken and Action Man are all 1/6 so I decided to use them But I wondered if I could have made them, and how long they would have taken so,,,,
Half hour on my fret saw and 10 mins with my multi drill and I got this.

so I think I could build one given a day or two (of course the head would take a while longer)

Ok guys i can't decide which way to go with the dio. I have 2 ideas, first one will only allow for 1/6 bikes but the second one will allow for 1/6 and 1/12 scale bikes.
Dio 1 I have the gsx doing a doughnut in a carpark and the 750 doing a front wheelie, I can then add more bikes as spectators at a later date.
Dio 2 I have the 2 bike parked on a clifftop carpark looking down on the beach to a party with thier mates bikes all round and maybe the beach road heading up in the genral direction of the cliff top carpark. This one will allow for 1/6 and 1/12.
So guys help which one

Hi all here is the start of the GXS

this thing is HUGE

I intend to make the GSX look used but well cared for and the CB a bit of a rat thats been dropped a few times due to its rider pulling stupid stunts on it who wasn't upto it (basically basing it on my first CB and the supid stuff I used to try on it)

I love the two tone paint on the frame. The details that come with that kit are amazing. You have a good kit there. I'm afraid I can't help you on the choice however. I'm stuck in the middle also. Both sound like cool ideas.

Great start Ken, I reckon if you are going to put figures on them go for the stunt diorama, a bit of action to the scene will look really good.

The box on your lap is huge, it's like a suitcase lol ! It also looks like I have the same sofa's as you too

Hi all I did have another idea but dropped it as they don't make the one sixth monkey bike any more(it was going to be a bit of fun to the dio)but I have suddenly thought of another thing he (the baddie) could turn up on, so let me put this one up for you to muse over.
The GSX rider relaxing laying on theground leaning up against his bike when a unicyclist turns up and threatens him with a knife for his bike keys, while his mate on the CB sneaks up on the would be theif with his skid lid raised ready to bash the would be theif over the head.

Hi all first disappointing bit of the kit, The tank is a terrible fit, lots of filling, it stands out more as the rest of the kit is such a good fit.

anyway back to the great fit of everything else, I have weathered the engine a bit, I dont want to weather this one much as I want it to look well cared for however the CB 750 willl be heavily weathered and have lots of broken bits.

Just to emphasise just how big this is that Virago is the same size engine as this one

Great build KP that engine looks real
Full respect for taking up the challenge of making your own figure, my hat goes off to you sir.

Just a thought: Action Man is 12" tall which would make him about 6foot scaled to 1:6th may be a good reference model

Yeah nice work on that engine Ken! Seems you have some keen areas when it comes to skills. Smoke, Fire, and engines. You've got those areas covered in spades.  [biggrin]
