my first GB ever [smile] I choose the Hasegawa 1/48 F-14D VF2.

[09374]

[20150802_213929_zpsawdzulbq]

[3c1e0080-0491-4faa-ae03-30bbd004db12_zps69tcsrof]

bought this kit more then 10 years ago... haven't opened it until today.
cant decide how to display the model, probably it will be OOB with the exception of two sju-17 ejection seat from Aires that i've just ordered from ebay.
the real downside of the kit from a glance is the lack of ordinance and the yellowish hue of the decal sheet. probably will order a backup decal sheet.

hope to update soon, enjoy [wink]

Awesome! Looking forward to your build. I'm having a Hasegawa tomcat myself but not sure if I can handle this kit yet... will follow with great interest!

Really looking forward to seeing a Has F-14 build here. Good luck with it. The Fightertown VF-2 decals are superb and would go with them anyday of the week over the Has decals. Weapons are always a let down with this kit. If you don't have one already get the Hobby Boss kit. Enough ordnance in those kits to do your Has kit with enough left over for the HB kit.

unfortunately i cant find that specific decal sheet in a reasonable price...
are you familiar with the aeromaster decals? they are for the low-viz bounty hunter scheme

Great Kit and Great Markings!

I have had success in bleaching decals sheets by putting them in zip lock bags and taping them to a window that gets good sunlight. By the look of your sheet, it shouldnt take long. Give it a go!
