Hi all. Finished the weathering on the side windows (I must say I'm quite pleased with it)also did the ammo box and made a start on the backdrop.

Great work.

A small update, and a question would I get away with these as Sten Guns.

They look good to me, but I think they would be in better condition, as weapons they would be striped down and oiled to keep them in working order.
Scrapes and scratches yes.

Sten guns. Oh yes...lovely.

My, you have some talent mate. Great work.

Normally I'd agree with you, Nigel. But he seems to be going for something long abandoned. That's how it all looks to me anyways. As if this car was prepped for some kind of French Resistance mission, but was forgotten due to the mission being spoiled, or found out and the Resistance fighters captured. So this vehicle sits, abandoned and forgotten for decades in a barn in a field somewhere overgrown with foliage.

That's my romantic take on it anyways. lol. I'm not sure what Ken is really up to here, but I love the look of it.  [biggrin][biggrin][biggrin][biggrin][biggrin]

I take your point there Mike.

Either way, this is amazing detailed weathering...so realistic.

Hi all no pictures tonight but, after a concerted effort today I can confidently say this will be finished tomorrow, its been a long hard slog but on the final stretch today just a bit of tidying up required tomorrow.

Hi all been going through some of my old builds and I still think this is one of my best, if not the best (even over the French galley the la reale) I can't believe I've built 162 kits in the 5 yrs since I got back into plastic kits (and some of them have been huge ( the 1/4 Ducati to say the least) and the big ships) 162 is a conservative estimate as that's what I still have, I've sold some and binned some as well it's probably up near 200 in reality.
I would just like to say thanks for watching as I've gone along.
If I'd stuck to sctatch building ships that number would be nearer 4 yes that's right I would have scratch built 4 ships in the same time, can you tell why I like plastic kits.
