Howdy all.

Just joined up after coming across some videos on You Tube as I was looking at possibly getting an A-10 kit.
My name is Iain Hamilton and I live in a place called Bonhill which is in Scotland and near the bonny banks of Loch Lomond. I am 52 (53 next month[frown]). I work for Glasgow City Council in the Criminal Justice part of the Social Work Department. Just me and the boss (my Eleanor) in the house now and as long as she doesn't bother me when I'm building we get on great and more so as I let her think she runs the show.
I only recently got back into building about 5yrs ago and joined the Sci Fi Model Action forums as I am a huge Sci Fi fan. Most of my builds have been sci fi related:-

I'm on the right of the above picture and the kit is the Korbanth 38" Super Star Destroyer (I am a member of the worldwide Star Wars costuming group the 501st and am a member of the British Garrison of that group which is the UK Garrison) which was built by myself over 9mths and sold at the annual UKG auction for 2500gbp.

Some other builds:-

I have recently been building up a nice wee stash of GWH/Hobbyboss Sukhoi kits and I am looking at getting some Migs to add to that stash and building them up.

Looking forward to being part of these forums.

Hi Iain, welcome to the forum.  Those are some really impressive builds you have there, particularly the illuminated ones.  Very nice indeed.  Check out the rest of the forum, and you'll see several other Sci-Fi modellers, and in particular Ted's Klingon Bird of Prey, I have a feeling you and he will get along great!

Hello Iain! great to see you here.

Fantastic work you have shared with us. love to see anything you have time to post. I have a few GWH Russian aircraft kits myself and will be building them as soon as I can catch up on 3-4 other "projects"...I'm a slow builder although I just finished a Klingon Bird of Prey in 44 days--a record of sorts for me. I love star wars and star trek and marvel and DC comic heroes and other sci-fi topics. My last few builds have been more sci-fi than anything.

Thanks again for coming our way.

Thanks Kit/Ted.

I will need to get around to adding a subscription so I can watch the video library - especially that one on the F-15.

I have a BOP hiding in the stash somewhere but I'm working on the Pegasus Hobbies 1/32 MLEV just now.

Once I get that done I need to finish off another Zvezda/Revell Star Destroyer to be sold (extra spending money for Eleanor's birthday trip to Paris) and then I am finally going to start my own 1/350 USS Enterprise refit.

Apart from that nothing much planned I suppose.[wink]
