Hi I decided to order an Aircraft Model Kit for the 1/72 GB.

Here it is. A classic I suppose, but I LOVE it.

Will try to make a D-Day version with the white stripes on the wings. The decals are not included for this version in the kit, but I'll try to paint them. But first I have to finish my russian tractors [biggrin][biggrin][biggrin]

Here is a review (in german)... not found a lot of reviews for this kit. Seems to be nice exept there are not a lot of decals.

Hi Alain, definitely a very nice classic. According to the review it should have some very nice details and a lot to work with - have fun.

Nice choice.  Way back when I built a C47 'Spooky' Vietnam-era gunship one of these.  If you look on Scalemates they'll almost certainly have a D-Day set of decals from several companies.  Little tip when doing the invasion stripes.  They don't need to be perfect.  Most of them were painted in an almighty rush a couple of days before the big event by anyone and everyone who could handle a paintbrush.  Some were even applied with buckets and mops!

Yessss... I have read some comments on a forum about applying decals VS painting the white stripes... And most all of the members replied they prefer painting the stripes, even if they where not perfect because like you said, the stripes where in reality painted whit almost ererything that was available, as long it was white, and they applied it with a roll brush. So effectively, it's not supposed to be perfect, or better said... it MUST NOT be perfect. [biggrin][biggrin][biggrin][biggrin]

I would really like to see how you get on with this build and what problems, if any, it throws up.

I'm more a novice. So for sure if at the end of the build it looks like an aircraft and not a tank... I'm pretty certain it must be a very good kit 😂😂😂

Looks like a really nice kit.  Lots of detail crammed into such a small scale, though personally I don't think I could ever build a kit without at least one machine-gun!

OK OK .... I'll try to put a gun inside that bird... [biggrin][biggrin][biggrin] but don't expect it will be a spooky version although.
