Thank you so much for all these tips... should have ask for help before.. but didn't know it could be so tricky to have a nice smooth surface with clear coat
.. tought it would self level while drying

Alain, I’ve had those problems before and found out several things I was doing wrong. Wing and fuselage: we tend to spay at a 45deg angle but that’s creating a vortex. Turn the plane and shoot at angles close to 90deg with the wing or fuselage. I was also holding my AB too far from the surface and paint was drying in the air before it hit the plastic. Created bumpy rough surfaces. I had my pressure up too high and shooting wide open. Too much paint too quickly. Combinations of these errors will kill your paint work dead. So I lowered my air pressure, got closer, and carefully, slowly applied many misty costs with drying in between—15-20 min. Hope things get better from here. Hope you have good work week! See you later.

Thank you so much Ted... yes I did exactly all of the mistakes you describe in your post !!!! I was not aware it could be so difficult... At the end this aircraft will look like directly coming back from the war... no need to add battle damage after all it's been throught..😂😂

Yessssss..... very nice effects really !!! I learned yesterday some modelers use Windex to chip the paint on their models... they must have done some mistakes to find this out. So all issues may lead you to surpringly nice new techniques... that's the way I try to look forward..

Mistakes lead the way to success, if we learn from them. Best wishes!

Hi everybody...

Was a bit disapointed last week when I had to strip off all the paint... Things went really wrong with the project... so I let it sit for a while and then decided to finish it even if I knew a lot of imperfections would still be visible. Finally this little kit gave me the chance to learn a lot and helped me to improve my skills in modelling... So it deserved I give it some attention and for sure it will have a place in my display cabinet (I do not have a display cabinet... but when I will have one this model will have it's place). So here are some pictures.

Have to work on the landing gears, and the weathering... More pictures in next posts.

Also I started a knew kit. It's a Israeli Magach 6B Gal Batash 1/35 scale Tank released by Meng. More in my knew topic in the armor section.

Things can and will go wrong. You faced problems but refused to quit. Congratulations for your determination.

All the struggle will be worth it in the end, that's shaping up to be a fine model.
