Popped into to the local B&Q and grabbed some
12mm MDF to get the spray booth started

Is there anything that goes over the front to protect the filter, maybe a kind of cloth or mesh material, or do I jdo st leave it as is?

Cheers Jas

very well done. you can leave it as is or you could put some 'cheesecloth' across the filter? Looks like a good filter, probably take a while for it to get dirty with paint? are you going to vent it outside? thanks for sharing.

Yep, ordered a aluminium bendy hose to stick out the window for now, but will have a purpose made vent when I get round to converting the garage into the J-cave.

This filter was only £6 from EModels, but still may have a look at stretching some cheese cloth over, nice tip Ted cheers.
Weather permitting, I'll,get he rest done tomorrow, as I'm banned from working in the conservatory due to the amount of mess I make lol [biggrin]

If any of you like a bit of DIY here's my home made router table made from a fish tank stand.

Added an emergency stop button (health & safety head on) also I can use it to turn it on & off without opening the cupboard. For a fence I use a piece of MDF with a couple of clamps.
Fantastic and useful piece of kit. Router was £20 (Screwfix), cupboard £18 & button £5

All done, may give it a lick of white paint & possibly add some side lights when I get 5
Also have a lazy Susan bearing on the way to make a turntable.

Don't want to use it know in case I get it dirty lol

Hi Jas, you can pick up some cooker hood replacement filter quite cheaply on ebay and just cut to fit.

Hehehehehe, very very cool !

Really smart job there mate and should help keep the nasties and overspray away from the J-cave. Deffo reccommend a mask too, not just for healthy lungs but to prevent any unicorn shenanigans from occurring.

The router table is genius and I don't think I've ever seen one like that before, it's inspired !

Those filters are designed to be used as is but Teds idea of a cheese cloth would definitely help to extend the life of it

Great stuff buddy
