Hi there,
I am on my second kit after 40+ years. Having fun, solving problems, great stuff. But... building the Eduard 1:48 Weekend Edition BF109 I must have done something stupid because part I16 is missing (the MG barrels). That to do? I have found aftermarket barrels:

They look great but will the fit? How will I use them? Help please [confused]!

Greetings from Haarlem!

Andre

I've used brass barrels a couple of times.  Could you post some pictures, so we can all see what is what?  Then we can be of more help!

Hi Andre,

If you email Eduard they may be able to send you a replacement part.

It may be easier to get a replacement rather than having to try and scratch build a way of fitting the brass barrels.

I have contacted them in the past for a similar problem and their customer service department was excellent.

Good luck [smile]

Geoff.

I did similar with my Macchi MC.205 build a few months back, and your Me-109 is very similar.  Put simply I used a micro-drill to open up the rear of the gun troughs on the nose to the same size as the brass barrells, then slid them in, using superglue to attach them.  On the 109 the right gun is slightly further forward than the other, something I copied on my 205, as it used the same engine and guns.  Here's a pic of mine.

Hope this helps!
