Well, this is interesting!  Great start in just a few days, too.  Looking forward to following this one, Ted.

Thanks! I joined the GB because.......cause it’s “anything goes” and the Ironman kit was purchased at the IPMS convention and will serve as a direct memory of my attendance there. Few parts, interlocking construction, good detail, and my FAV Avenger to boot! Of course, the finish is the challenge for me. Thanks for following along!

Nice Ted.

Best way I think - work on a small area - get it spot on -  move on to next area.

Geoff.

Michael,
Thanks for the encouragement. I received a set of metal paint from Vallego yesterday. Hoping the "gold"
might be the one I need. Difficult to tell from pictures of paints online.

Plastic putty !!! I need some... not avaible at my local hobby store.. so I will order it online... seems to be far more easy to clean than the regular Tamiya putty... even can use it for making zimmerit on german tanks. You are working hard Ted and of course the result will be great. Congratulations.Love the Model Air gold by the way.

Yes.....the Vallejo plastic putty it great stuff. Best for small gaps and such. The Vallejo model air is the paint I will use for Ironman. The gold leaf is too bright IMHO.

The red and gold are going to look fantastic together.  Can't wait to see the end result.
