Italeri 1/48 Macchi MC.205 Veltro. Manufacturer: Italeri. Scale: 1/48. Subject: Macchi MC.205 Veltro ‘Greyhound.’ Paints used: Vallejo, Mr Metal, Tamiya, Citadel. Adhesives: Tamiya Extra-thin, Zap-A-Gap c.a, Pritt-Stick. Weathering: Flory wash and pigments. Aftermarket products: SBS Resin cockpit set, Eduard cockpit p.e. set, Eduard mask set, Master barrels Mg-151’s. Build thread: http://genessis-models.websitetoolbox.com/post/italeri-148-macchi-mc-205-veltro-10361884?&trail=15 A re-boxing of a Hasegawa kit, this went together beautifully. No fit issues to speak of, save a small gap on the underside wing root to fuselage. The resin cockpit set is one of the best I have used so far, and if I have the choice, I’ll happily use SBS sets again. Decals were a bit of a marathon, taking a day and a half, but they too performed perfectly. All in all, a most enjoyable build. Another one for the scrap-book! __________________
