Hi Remy.

Congrats on topgun, not had a chance to see what the last GB was yet but saw you won.

And interesting choice, not something ive ever heard of or seen, looks cool though.

Hi guys! Sorry for the lack of update from my side. But I really had to finish one of my other project. It was in the final stage of weathering using lots of pigments and enamels. And just didn't want to keep on switching between the projects.
Here is my final reveal of my latest finished project: M3A3 Bradley, Meng kit including the interior kit. Its a great build but I am glad I have finished it 😉

IMG_2496.jpeg

So now its time to get on going on the Cant. But boy, what a horrible kit this is. After filling and sanding the sides of the hull, I now have this hole on top I have to fix. The fit is really bad and for some reason it looks like the kit just doesn't want to be build 😉 Well, at least not by me because I hate all those terrible fits. But... I will finish it but not to the standard I would normally wish. Just buy Tamiya next time 😉 Much better fit overall.

Here are some progress photo's. The interior is done. Just have to touch up those two PE parts which I just glued in place. But maybe leave it like that because I think it gives a nice touch to the interior. Both halves are glued together and now onto filling and sanding..... [frown]

Some minor updates again. Really happy to have found these canopy masks. For this scale its makes it much easier to mask and paint the canopies. Al three engines done as well!

Remy,
That Bradley is a stunner! Big projects like that can pull a lot of energy out of you. Congratulations on a great finish!
Now you have went from a trophy to what sounds like a turd—pardon please—but you seem to be ploughing right into the battle, I’m placing $$$ you get a better finish than you predict.

You are welcome but the motivation is inside of all of us, we just have to turn the knob until everything “clicks”. I’m just stating what I see in your work. If you can do that Bradley build, you can do ANYTHING.

Hi guys, so I made some quite some progress the last few days. I really am going to finish this one as it is.
First pictures show the plane fully assembled (expect without the engine covers and props) and primed. They will be attached to the plane on the end.

IMG_2508.jpeg  IMG_2509.jpeg  IMG_2510.jpeg

Since the plane is going to get a two-tone paint job I decided to try something new. I gave the complete plane a mottling effect. I hope when the base coats get on it will give some tonal variation. Just have to use really well diluted paint when I start painting the base coat.

For now some pics of the mottling effect.

Looking great so far, looking forward to seeing your mottle effect when finished.

I was thinking something similar for my white underside, grey primer, red/brown panel lines pre shade and insignia white panel center mottling as a pre bleech effect. Base coat of white (all Vallejo model airs acrylics)

So I am very curious to see how your effect works

You have made great progress. I really really like the mottling work. I’ve got an unfinished project I’m going to do some mottling on. Never used that technique before. I think your plane is going to look great with the planned paint job over that effect.

Hi everybody,

So, I have been doing some time on the airbrush. Bottom side is completely done and top side 90%. Only the top half of the floaters needs their basecoat. I have been in doubt if I should attach those floaters before or after painting. I think before painting is better but it sure is a hell of a job trying to do a decent paint job between the pylons. Well, we will see how its going to look like in the end.
So far I am pretty happy with the overall look. You can still see some of the mottling underneath the base coat. Hope it stay that way after gloss and weathering. Probably will do some light weathering.

IMG_2515.jpeg
Light grey coat. Still mottling visible.

IMG_2517.jpeg
Masking, a lot of masking...

IMG_2518.jpeg
Most of the paint job is ready Only topside of the floaters need their base coat.

By the way, are those things called floater in english... I think so but not sure 😉

I will post some more pics when the paint job is completely done.
