Thanks Mike, I think being able to use an airbrush on this has helped with the blends, I don't think I have the right skill set yet to have pulled it off with a brush

It definitely does look better than it originally did, it will look nice with my 1/6th scale dutch figure in the cabinet

Cheers Simon !

Been hard at it down in the cellar, I am currently stripping the back cellar room (almost done) there was an old timber workbench in there in one side and a cast concrete table on the other, the timber came out no problem, but the concrete one was a beech lol, there wasn't enough room to swing a sledge hammer, so I had to break it up with a lump hammer, this took quite a toll on my hands and has inflamed the arthritis in my thumbs (a legacy from working outside for years in cold weather ) but it's done now, and I hope to start dry lining this week, so shouldn't be too long before I'm working in the new pete cave

A small update, no bench time due to other commitments, but I have made a start on the wrist blades, I drew the pattern on thin styrene sheet and cut it out with a scalpel
20141126_175838
They don't look too bad, but I think they are a little on the thin side so I will see if I can use them as a base to sculpt onto
20141126_175856
And I'm starting to think about finishing the little details, I think the gloves need a little texture so will need to figure that out
20141126_181340
And I want to paint some ridges on the claws with dark grey

Really pleased with how it's turning out, I will give the armour some scratches and chipping with a bit of silver paint
