First little update. A I said, very tight and nice fit. Step 1 is gluing the pilot halves together. They look very nice with some primer on. You even got decals for the big manga eyes.

Step 2: putting the fuselage together. Added a PE head up display, spare part from the phantom. So this is a 1:48 kit then?

And started preparing the intakes...

Having great fun with this one :-)

Base painted the cockpit. Pretty plane but the pilot will fill it up pretty much.

And assembled the intakes and the vertical stabilizers. A little bit of filler will be needed and it should be fine. Almost ready for priming :-)

In flight... very aggressive look ;-)

Finished the cockpit with the IP decal and recycled some packaging as head up display. Masking the canopy was fairly easy because its huge compared to the rest of the plane :-)

Also finished the pilots. Very nice that Hasegawa include decals for the big Manga eyes... she's looking a little bit sad :-/. So, which pilot to choose???

Thanks for stepping by :-)

Hmm.... Go with the Helmet-clad fig. It would make more sense lol.

Fabian, my friend, I think you need to play with some highlights on those figs. Why not, eh? Looks like fun to me lol. I need to push you out of your comfort zone eventually lol.

I must admit that this build just makes me smile to look at.. [smile]

I agree, the guy in the helmet will look best I think.  I think I would have said the girl if she didn't look so sad.. strange.  the highlights you added definitely made an improvement to the look though.  [thumb]

Now that is exactly what I'm talking about! At first glance I thought the hair was actually a shiny gloss. Well done Fabian.  [smile]

Thank you Paul, a smile is a compliment I like to take, haha. The helmet pilot took place in the cockpit, canopy closed :-)
