I would love to meet you guys, and for sure would like a to see the boss in action in his studio. As I understood from Bobbys latest update he wouldn't mind having us over. But unfortunately his place is not really in my neighborhood :-/.

Yeah me too, but it's 300 miles away from me being on the South Coast ....
I wonder who lives where and is it possible for those of us living near each other to share traveling costs ? [smile]

Update time. Got the carrier mostly finished. Still some filling and sanding to do before I can start painting...

You see the second plane ;-). I thought the carrier looked a little empty so I needed something to fill the void. I was looking for the same kit but couldn't fine it anymore. But I found the Flanker D kit and as I expected it's exactly the same kit as de J-15. And because the J-15 came with decals for 2 versions I would be able to build a second one, yey.

During the building (no pictures because exactly the same) I changed my mind about the color scheme. The Russian 3tone scheme does look very nice, doesn't it! As this build is a rivet counters nightmare anyhow i thought why not :-)

So, after a lot of masking...

I hope you like it! Ah yeah, does anyone has a good link for a "how to make water" tutorial with basic materials? The carrier should zit in the water...
