Well, against every fraction of logic I have in my brain, I am going to enter the Diorama GB. I am intending to use part of a "second" TV Batmobile. Long story why I had two identical Batmobile kits but if you are curious, check the build thread on my Futura/Batmobile Nigel SIG build --still in progress!! In that same thread I believe that there is a picture posted by another member here of a rusted out Batmobile. My intention is to do a derelict Batmobile with an intact [but rusted] turbine engine, groat to back. Going to do my very best to keep this build "reasonable" in order that I can finish the Nigel SIG project at the same time. I intend to build the turbine engine from scratch using images of a TV Batmobile kit that has the turbine engine rather than the ICE. Here is some inspiration?
Before anyone lets their imagination run too far, I will be using mostly the body and upper components--windshields, rocket tubes, etc, but NOT the chassis, tires, interior. I Will NOT be rusting this build anywhere near the Post Apocalyptic build I used in the last GB entry. I would like to show some paint, decal, chrome albeit all tarnished. I plan to mount the Batmobile on a ground base with a number of appropriate elements.

And now for some inspiration for the 1966 Turbine engine. THESE IMAGES ARE NOT MY WORK AND THE IMAGES DO NOT BELONG TO ME. They represent a turbine engine in a Diecast 66 Batmobile, the engine from the scale model 1989 movie Batmobile [Michael Keaton as Batman with Tim Burton directing]. The other image in the montage is a jet fighter engine. All of these are for reference to scratch build an engine for this GB.I might add that I have the 1989 Batmobile from AMT/Round 2 models. its a great kit with all kinds of technical extras. Check it out here: http://round2corp.com/product/1989-batmobile/ Someday I hope to build it into a diorama showing work on the 89 Batmobile in the Bat Garage?ENGINE IMAGES by teddy ladd , on Flickr

sometimes I forget just how "CAMPY" the 66 shows and subsequent movie were. Here is a clip from the movie--see how long you can last before you choke on the special effects!

DOH!...................I just really noticed in the most recent blog as well as the diorama GB rules that I wasn't supposed to "start" until July 1st. I wasn't paying attention. Everyone OK with me stopping posting until the actual start date arrives? Sorry I jumped the gun, the fence, etc. Should work out well since this will give me time to finish the Nigel SIG Batmobile?

Certainly hope so—-and it will fit into a triple Batmobile set....the Futura/69Batmobile., the junkyard 69 Batmobile, and the 1989 Movie Batmobile....time will tell
