I need to change the title of my entry for this GB. Help?

I would like for it to be:  "Junkyard Batmobile"

I don't think you can change the title of your thread, unfortunately.  I think your only option would be to start a new thread with the new title.

I could be wrong,

You are probably right. I was hoping maybe an administrator or Bob could do it? The title is not a title and I’m not sure how that happened. Oh well

I just checked on my thread: go to your first entry and hit β€œEdit”. Maybe there is a time limit to do so, but it worked on my entry...

Hey Paul!

Well, the closet workspace is good, I just have not been at it for many many months due to back
pain. Getting better slowly. I can actually sit up for a good while now.

I will DBL check but I think it was you that planted the rusted batmobile in my brain!
Cheers

EDIT: I went back through the thread for the Batmobile/Futura Nigel SIG and there was a video from you Paul. It was in the approximate location I thought it might be, but the video is no longer available. I sincerely think it was about a rusted 66Batmobile.

Paul, it was a video that you posted on my Batmobile/Futura Nigel Sig. that planted the rusted derelict Batmobile idea. The video is no longer available in that build thread. I think it either the same video I posted here earlier in the thread or one very similar.

Well, its three months + since my last post here and FINALLY some action. Each time I got up enough MOJO to do something I was hit with spinal pain
or some other "life" thing getting in the way. Honestly, the chronic pain since January this year [and actually all the way back to 1977 when I had my first spinal fracture] simply had me depressed. DEPRESSED! its real and many of you know the same monster.

I actually started by clearing and reorganizing my nasty, piled up workbench--hobby bench, and simply getting everything in front of me for the Diorama GB.

I had spent a LOT of time thinking my way through the concept, so now it is down to reality. The pictures show me building out the engine, the body, and most of the chassis. I removed some of the chrome from engine parts--or dulling it--by applying CA glue, then a bit of scraping after the glue was dry. The idea will be to replace most of the chrome with flat silver, then add rust and old oil, dust, dirt. any chrome parts used will be treated to look very weathered/rusted, etc.

Next I worked on creating some interior "fabric" from medical and Tamiya tape--first burnishing the tape down with Q-tips, then trimming with a fresh blade. This will allow me to later tear the fabric and expose padding, holes, etc. Currently the seats are not glued in.

other parts are suspension, differential, and mufflers/pipes chopped, holes drilled as needed, and candle heat to allow bending/distortion of the items.

I forgot one item---I smashed the mobile crime computer that goes in the trunk. I will be attaching wires and some other components to make this area more detailed
EDIT:  OK, you see the marks all over the seats? that will eventually represent the worn seat leather

Had time late this PM to have a go at some more work on "Junkyard Batmobile" and its moving pretty quickly. The thing about derelict junk items is that you don't particularly have to follow all the detail rules of this scale model game. Spill glue? its called character or "damage". nicks and dents and rough edges? bring them on!

Couple of pictures below show most all the parts for the batmobile. Bat body and chassis plus all the misc car parts that might be lying around, inside the batmobile, etc. I did have one brain storm. On the hood it appears that the joker visited the derelict Batmobile and torched his name into the hood. That dastardly demon!!!

Next step will be to rattle can paint the components flat black and then do the necessary detail paint and weathering.

Paul,
you chose one of my favorite lines/scene from the 1989 Batman movie where Joker [Jack Nicholson] runs a TV ad for his poison cosmetics/products and the two models break in with "LOVE that JOKER!!"  Thank you for your comment. I'm having fun and that's what I've needed for quite a while now.Again, derelicts are in many ways easier because you can make mistakes and its just fine.

Had the opportunity to Flat Black the chassis and body of the Batmobile this AM.

I will have to Flat Black the misc pieces n parts later today. Great thing about flat colors is that you can easily apply any kind of liquid or even powder stain and it goes  into the flat paint to create  natural looking weathering.
