Hi, newbie here.  I've seen several posts from people returning to the hobby, well here's another one!  I built hundreds of scale models in my youth, right up until I finished my term in the RAF.  Then, for some reason, I stopped.  The last models I built were, if I recall, the Airfix 1/24 Me109, the Ju87 and the P-51 Mustang.  Sadly I never finished the Mustang as, in the move back home to civvie life it met with an accident in transit.
Now I have been able to take semi-retirement, and have a lot of time on my hands.  A couple of years ago I did tentatively step back into the waters with an Airfix dogfight doubles, the Spitfire and Me110, and quickly realised how rusty I was!  But I am now returning with a vengeance, and later this week I will be kitting myself out with a proper set of tools, including something I have never tried before, an airbrush.  Gonna be a steep learning curve!
Anyway, that's me, I'm going to browse this new world for a while, and maybe learn some new tricks!

Welcome! Lots of second time around modelers here. Sounds like you’ve got the spirit. Best wishes as you go along. Bob is currently doing a new modeler build that is great to shake off the dust. It’s the harrier. Have a look!

Let me add my welcome back as well. I'm in retirement, first medically and now age. I'll be honest, there are times when I wish I was back at work because I'm so busy!

Thanks for the welcome, guys, nice to meet you.  Haven't started anything yet, as i am moving house in a few weeks, but I have already accumulated a pile of kits waiting to be worked on!

the golden "stash"! I go through mine every so often and look at the sprues, decals, etc., etc. Pumps my mojo up!
