Well since I got back into the hobby I wanted to start to build all the Canadian birds and this will be the first to the collection and probably my fav looking jet of all time! This kit went together pretty well. No major fitment issues, not a whole lot of parts and maybe a bit of lack of detail in wheel wells and such but could be fixed with some add-ons easily. Also the kit decals have a little silvering when looking at a certain angle which i couldn't get rid of. I opted to paint on the false canopy on the underside as it looks far more realistic then the decal which i used to make a stencil. I decided to go with the low vis scheme and am pretty happy with how it turned out. I love the sleek lines of the jet so i went with no pylons or weapons as this is also one of the last CF-5's to fly before heading to the museum so i opted for a clean airshow look. Did some pre-shading but wanted to keep the weather to a minimum. Will really enjoy doing this kit a second time around down the road for sure. Heres some shots in the sun!

At one time, CF-5s were a regular sight over our city. They came here for their periodic maintenance at Bristol Aerospace. The Canadian Forces may not have enjoyed having that plane thrust upon them by politicians, but there's no denying it looked quite beautiful in the air. [smile]
