Hey guys just stopping in for a bit to show whats going on. Started this before work started taking over and since Bobby did a review on this kit thought I would share a few pics.
The kit is a dream going together no filler at all just a little sanding of seam lines and the canopy fits great unlike most chopper kit canopies. Just a few more things to do to finish. The rotors are just placed on for effect.

Have the engine and avionics bay open on the left side. Also did some wiring and put some decals in the avionics bay so will post when complete
Cheers!

I've got this helo in my stash by Italeri. Seems like I bought some after market for it but don't remember for sure. I also picked up an AH-IT Sea Cobra about the same time I bought the AH-1Z Viper. Its also an Italeri.

Thanks Fabian and Ted, Glad SOME people like it!!. Doing the weapons now. Was putting the top red nav light on and it pinged out of the tweezers into that void where all the pinged kit parts go as I scoured my bench and whole room for that thing and just could not find it!!!! so will have to scratch build one. Anyway thanks you two for your comment.

Cheers

Sorry Neil but I somehow managed to miss this one mate

I don't like this I LOVE IT !

Don't get to see enough Helos built, I really like modern US hardware and this is a real beauty mate.
I'm really impressed by the colours you used (what paints were they ?) it looks very authentic and the weathering is spot on with exactly the right amount for a service aircraft.

These birds have an predatory and almost insect like look that is very appealing to the eye

Another excellent build Neil and again very impressive finish on the paint job

Thanks Pete! The research I did found that the top is FS35237 and the bottom is FS36375. Med. grey and Light Ghost Grey. I went to the LHS (Hobbytown USA) and the Model Masters Acrylic series had the perfect match. Really like these paints, it lays down very smooth and is pretty tough when dry. They also mix well the Bobby's Homebrew. Then I lightened them both with a little white added. These Helos are fairly new so I did just a little weathering and a light wash.
