She finally complete. $ months and 1 house move later.

A small bit about what i used. Starting with the 1/48 Airfix kit and what a fantastic kit it is, I added a Aires Resin wheel well kit, Eduard Lightning PE kit, Flightpath Detail and weapons set, Model Alliance Decals MA48171 and Eduards RBF tags.

I built her a XR725A of 23 Squadron based at RAF Leuchers in 1968.

so here she is

Fantastic job mate ! It looks really authentic, you have captured the look of the lightning perfectly, is the ladder part of the eduard set or is it in the kit ?
Airfix really are producing some good kits these days, and the details and finish you have put on it set it off brilliantly

Thanks for the comments guys. This is my first ever group build and first time i've used resin and PE.

The Ladder is from the Flightpath set

Really nice looking Lightning! I also like a lot of those accessories and 'Remove before flight' flags!
