Vrrrroooommmm [biggrin]
I think flying ones model around the room is a very necessary part of the build process [wink]

Looks like a tadpole with nodules [biggrin]

Quite a size hey, maybe 45cm's ? more perhaps ?
That stand makes quite a good docking arm, you going to work into a diorama ?
anyhow, looking cool [smile]

this is looking great at this point--details, obtuse form, lots of interest!

@ Paul: Flying it is more important than dry fitting. Bobby should really include it in his step by step, lol. Made it from my workbench to the living in just under 30 seconds, this thing is fast :-)
The stand is nice. Will come in handy for spraying to. I actually am thinking of doing a little diorama, but will see about that when I get there...

@Ted: the details are nice. Maybe I will add some more piping on the fuselage and open a service hatch? Don't no yet...

"That's the fastest hunk of junk this side of the sofa" [biggrin]

yeah, flying it round the room should definitely appear in the step by step videos haha

That base stand is ripe for dio, add a couple of telescopic rods, a few wires and hoses,
guitar strings make good hoses, classical guitar strings, the clear ones make good silicon tubings..
Guitar strings left in the garden for a week acquire some interesting rust patinas [smile]
A docking bay/workshop dio would suit an access hatch open etc.

anyhow, will this one be pink ? [biggrin]

haha, gonna hold you to that [biggrin]
rest assured though, whatever happens it will be pink on the Sci Fi GB poster [wink]

anyhow, I'm thinking German grey all over with neon pink trim & stripes for a Tron style paint job ( but with heavy chipping and rust )
or are you gonna go for the Manga Flowers scheme ? [biggrin]

After some more flying hours I started busying up the big hatch. As it will be shown open the piece is a little empty and need some TLC.

After some greeblies, tape, plastic card and wire it looks pretty cool :-)

and with some primer on...

Also cut a service hatch open in the fuselage and the base plate.

Also scribed some panels in the base.

Thanks for looking :-)

ooh looking good ! [smile]
nice example of scratch building details and so quick to get the paint on too.
I'm refraining from paint until I have finished making the "Kit" of parts.
Although difficult not to think about colour schemes, even at this early stage [smile]

Anyhow, liking the access hatch cut aways, very neat, by Dremmel or by hand ?
