nice example of scratch building details and so quick to get the paint on too.
I'm refraining from paint until I have finished making the "Kit" of parts.
Although difficult not to think about colour schemes, even at this early stage [smile]

Anyhow, liking the access hatch cut aways, very neat, by Dremmel or by hand ?

Yeah, I'm also thinking about paint. De provided schemes are very nice, but I could go anywhere with this ship. Even thought about a sundowners scheme ;-)
I have no modeling power tools. Did the cut with a scribing tool. Probably not the quickest way to do it but gives me nice control of what I'm doing. Still find it pretty nerve wrecking to cut into nice molded plastic... glad you like it :-)

I was going to be doing handle bars but after seeing this ended up doing some scribing [wink]

I've learned that I need a proper scriber, especially now that I
know you can cut very tidy hatches out with them, "neat" trick !! [biggrin]

anyhow ideas for colour schemes [smile]

Fantastic added detail you have added inside the hatch mate. These Ma.k kits really allow the freedom to go nuts with some imagination, it's just a shame they are so expensive as I would get a load of them if I could.

So much scope for schemes too Fabian I can't wait to see what you decide to do this one in.

Paul, they are great ideas for Scifi colour schemes ! A chameleon scheme would be challenging but I reckon would look amazing on a spaceship

Cray..... Zeeee....... over the rainbow, they've taken my marbles away ............... [biggrin]

re. the chameleon scheme, you know I am suggestion a stylized version of these schemes [wink]
although, salt chipping the bright colours and clean up add the pattern mask and spray the "opposite" stripes etc. could lead to some very interesting texture colour combos.

initially I was think the base coat is the yellows fading through oranges & reds, add your tropical fish shaped mask and spray the green fading through to blues and what not etc. etc. I know you know I know you know what I mean but I'm gullible like that [biggrin]

anyhow, what ever the colour scheme it ought to have stripes of some kind to show the organic shape off well and there ought to be chips too, even if you go for sport colours, it's Ma.K after all [smile]

Sorry mate, can't do this. I'm an architect, one of the boring modernistic ones... only wearing black, never let sunlight touch my skin and being serious about anything... Fun? Pfff, no purpose in that ;-)
