Hi guys, does anyone here have any experience of using died herbs for making leave scatter and leaves for trees? I assume they last a long time right?

Good question! I didn't think of using dried herbs. I also wonder just how well they would stand up to time.

I have found that most actual plant life, as long as it has been dried, will take paint and lacquer.

However, after most of them have dried, they tend to lose the shape you thought was perfect for your dio. Try to stay away from leafy greens as they do shrivel up. But perhaps if you were to press them in a book for about a week they would keep their shapes like flowers do.

Something to think about and experiment with.

Mixed dried herbs are perfect for making cammo netting. Use pva to stick them on, when dried spray whole net with matt varnish.
Very effective and the smell disappears after time.

Another option is Earl Gray tea leaves, slightly bigger and you can spray paint a cammo on them once the pva is dry.

You can also have a nice cup of tea whilst waiting for it to dry.

I like my Earl Gray black with a slice of lemon thanks [thumb]
