Okey dokey onward and upwards with the cow massacre

Nothing fancy done to the interior just a bit of dark wash and some bright colours for the controls
Also I drilled a hole in the floor , hopefully some light from the base will make its way into the cockpit

And the seat ( well back rest ) is in

I wanted to use the legs/claw on this one as I couldn't in the crashed one I did

They make it look like it's ready to extract something

And with the saucer done and dusted I got on with painting Daisy

Bit of muck added to the feet and lower leg, she does live in a field after all ( well she used to live in a field before she got probed )

Going to the toilet is a two hand job as it is because the doctor said I wasn't to lift anything heavy

To keep the build time short I didn't want to get too ambitious with the base, so I used a bit of model railway matting and over sprayed with those 2 colours

And mounted it in a frame I got from th charity shop ages ago, I always pick them up if I see them going cheap as they are really handy for this kind of thing ( and I'm cheap lol )

Then tipped clear red followed by smoke over the string of sausages

I wanted a classic "grey" look to the alien so I over sprayed with thinned clear blue and then a little bit of umber wash

This pic reminds me of what my nights were like before I discovered the tinfoil hat

I never used to mind the probing but the bright lights gave me an awful headache

the base was going to look a little bland as it stood so I thought a figure would be a good idea. I thought I would have to convert a military one but when I was hunting for one I found this, it was on the sprue of zombies that Nigel kindly sent me with "the bitch"

Pose and expression is perfect

Next a few off cuts of wood

And the weathering shenanigans I learned from doing my Ma.k diorama a while back helped me out

"Arrrrrgh get off of Daisy you alien SOB"

"Hehehe I have had this idea in my mind for a long time but I had much bigger plans so I'm not going to permanently fix anything to the base and them maybe down the road I can revisit it "

luckily this is something you can tinker with in those occasional spare moments before the GB ends [wink] [biggrin]

Anyhow looking great so far, especially for the speed of it [smile]

Absolutely right mate and I think the diorama will need a few bits and bobs on it as it still looks a bit empty so I'll try and come up with something before I do the reveal, not sure what it will be maybe just some leaves and stones or a few plants just to fill the space a bit.

It hasn't turned out too bad really, I think that sometimes just diving in and not thinking about it too much helps as you don't give yourself time to worry lol
