On and off the bench often. Beginning to fill some seam lines and gaps. also doing some scribing. The starboard "can" is going in the spares box . I totally made a mess with the scribing and there was also a thin part of one of the feathers that was broken off. SINCE I have an IDENTICAL second kit of this model, I will "BORROW" a can from that kit. Plans for the second Mig29A include AM cans anyway.

Thanks for the comment. What you are seeing is actually just me following existing panel lines to make them more prominent. Hope I did not go off scale? I DO have some serious RE-SCRIBING to do on most of the fuselage. that will be the acid test of my newbie scribing skills. I did get the R productions scriber that Bob did a video on a while back. it is photo etch but its not brass, its stainless. So now I have the tamiya P cutter, the R productions, and a nice dental tool that scribes really well. I also have some other dental tools that help with removing waste material from scribed lines and such.

On the bench this afternoon. Still trying to add more detail to the exhaust cans while I wait on the filler to do its thing. I gave the exhaust a couple of coats of PLEDGE to seal that tape in place once I had the edges trimmed nice and neat.

Final scribing and detail on the kit jet exhaust. Some pledge will seal the tape to the plastic.

Continuing to fill and sand seams and other problem areas. I had ordered/received some Mr. Surfacer 1000 in the post recently and it has been great to have it to work with. makes me feel better about many of the really small problem areas and seam lines. Finally masked and glued the canopy in place only to discover that the rear part of the canopy needed some judicious sanding! THEN I remembered that the build article I've been referencing mentioned sanding the rear of the canopy quite a bit before it would fit well. Just placed a call to the Damage Control Officer [DCO]--me of course--to figure out a solution.

Since the section of the canopy that needed sanding is part of the canopy that will be painted with the rest of the fuselage I simply sanded down the thick areas and made sure it was fastened down good. all is well again--Damage Control Officer over and out!

thanks! 2nd build since returning to the hobby. I figure by the time I've done 20 or so builds, I'll have a better level of work. enjoying the Mig29A.
