I'm in with this kit.  I just hope I can do it justice since all of the great builds have already raised the bar pretty high!  I've had this kit since about 1992 and it's been in storage all that time. I went and searched for it after seeing this GB.  I know it's old technology for a kit and it has raised panel lines, but I'm hoping that with new skills and products, I can build it into something you all will want to look at.  The decals and box were trashed but the kit seems OK without too much warping.

I also got into the B-25 after watching this:

Unfortunately, you have to be a subscriber to see the whole film, but trust me, its fantastic!  Its filled with great shots of the aircraft and more importantly, the pilots.  So, I decided to dig out this old kit and build 'Betty's Dream' from the 345th Bomb Group.  She's a strafer but also did her work with bombs.  On August 19, 1945 she also escorted two "Betty" bombers carrying a Japanese peace delegation.

I'm adding resin barrels from Quick Boost and using masks and the photo etch set from Eduard.

Oh nice. I'll be watching this closely to see if you can get as much out of this kit as Kenny has so far. The old Monogram kits are turds out of the box lol.

GOOD LUCK!  [biggrin]

Ron, welcome to the GB.

There is an old proverb that says "the older the fiddle, the sweeter the tune".  Some of these older kits are little gems. I'm sure this is going to be a diamond in the rough [wink]

After a few weeks of lost mojo for this build due to other life commitments I FINALLY was able to get this kit moving. The photo-etch in the cockpit was a welcome addition and really made the kit much better. I've found a few fit issues so far and I'm expecting a bit more. While test fitting the fuselage, it doesn't look too bad of a fit. It's not a new Tamiya kit, but not bad for a 25 year old Monogram kit. Glued up the wings tonight and hoping to have the fuselage together tomorrow. I've got to catch up with all of you masters!

Nice work on the pit Ron, I know it's sometimes tough when the mojo goes walkabout on you, but good to see it coming together. [smile]
