hello everyone,

i'm trying to look for good airbrushing equipment to buy. i intend to pay around £300 Maximum. however, i am overwhelmed at the amount of products in online stores. it's confusing and time consuming to look for the most suited equipment for airbrushing.  i'm not an expert at professional airbrushes, but i have used cheap airbrushes before.

what I need is an airbrush, a compressor, air tank(for the compressor) and any other equipment i may need (such as air filter and mask).

so therefore, i wan't ask;

what equipment do you use for airbrushing?

is there any equipment you would recommend?

your reply will be very helpful,

thank you.

Tbh I use an eBay special compressor and a iwata Neo airbrush and it does me just fine.

I would think stick to the main brands and you should be good Bobby will probably be in a good place to advise as I'm sure he has used most

I use the following works good for me but im no expert im kinda new to this hobby

Sparmax TC-620X Airbrush Compressor

Harder & Steenbeck Evolution Silverline 2 in 1 Airbrush

Harder & Steenbeck Ultra Airbrush

Sometimes creative models do the Ultra on specials check them out on a Thursday afternoon.

I also have another airbrush i bought from amazon for around £25 that i know a few people on here use and i personally cant notice much difference

Simair Sp-35 i think it might now be Sparmax Sp-35

I also just use a spray booth i got from Amazon but you can now find it for aroubd £50 from ebay ... Actually ive never even used it yet, i just open the window at my desk

Ive added links so you can have a look for yourself.

TBH my mig-21 and mig-31 were both painted using my eBay compressor and also a £5.99 (yep 5 pounds and 99 pence) airbrush which I still use for glossing etc.

I got my Neo from here...

They have some cracking deals on airbrushes! I got my Neo for £44 (should have been £60) with free postage
