Offering a cash prize would be a good option because, as you mentioned, the overseas postage cost can often be the same as the cost of the model itself - makes no sense! it also allows overseas subscribers the option of where and on what to spend their winnings. Keep up the good work Bobby - great website!

Hello Bob
It's cash for me. It's a waste in shipping costs otherwise.

Any prize is a "Prize" just like a present is a present.
A
free year subscription would male a nice prize.

Please count me in! The cash option makes sense, but I enjoy the challenge and variety of winning a kit that you wouldn't typically build. Being pushed outside of your comfort zone or "preferred genre/scale" is what helps you grow.

I like the  idea of receiving an actual kit if I was ever lucky enough to win. However I understand  the logistic  problems that can cause you so which ever way you choose is fine by me.

Oh and count me in please [biggrin]

Geoff.

I think gift certificates from online hobby suppliers would promote scale modeling and give winners freedom to choose their prizes.
