Sitting in the bus to work, way to cold to go by bike, so time for a little update: the wings are on, quite impressive size. The Yak-3 looks like a different scale next to it. Also checked the seams. Have a little more sanding to do and then start fitting al de clear parts.

She's starting to look really good now Fabian, and sitting on her tail.
Once you get the clear parts, front wheel and engines she might just sit right.

Thanks! She will be a heavy tail sitter, even with all the parts and added weights. I'm going to make a little base and pin the nose wheel down. To much cockpit in this plane ;-)

I'm working on all the small parts. Most of the hatches will be build open. Nice opportunity to paint some details :-)

I think the (plexi)glass nose is actually to transparent. Haha, clear parts which are to clear, lol

The original part:

Reference of the virgin widow:

With a little sanding it looks better I think:

I also spend a few hours masking al the clear parts. I'm glad I ordered masks from Eduard :-). But the open hatches had to be masked on the inside too.

Made some hinches for them. Glueing them in to position will be the last thing I will do on this model :-0

Thanks for looking!

Great job on the masking Fabian, giving us bomber builders a peek of what's ahead. Weathering looks great as always mate, you're going to nail this one too. Great work, keep it up. [smile]

Thank you Simon. Order those Eduard masks:-). Yesterday my kit for the GB arrived - it's so hard to not put the widow away and starting on the GB right away lol

Thanks a lot! Also started with some accessories for the ground plate. Really want to finish this build soon so I can start with the GB - just staying calm and not rushing things :-)

Guess I shoud have a look in the figure GB for those... ;-)
