First decision you have to make is do you want the exhaust to look relatively "new" [metal but perhaps dull?] or do you want them to be well tarnished and /or rusted? This should correspond to the overall weathering of your build.Plenty of metal paints to match any degree of age/usage without rust. Aluminum paint, Steel, etc. in Tamiya paints and almost every other paint system. You can dull the exhausts with a wash of Tamiya "smoke" or a thinned down flat black? Then you can add "rust" with any of the rust colors available. Or you could scrape pastel colors into powders and mix with a clear product [even PLEDGE/KLEAR?] and apply to the exhaust a bit at a time until you get the effect you like. Reference photos are your guide.
